It is estimated that there are 17
million people with diabetes in the United States and
another
16 million have pre-diabetes, or blood
sugar levels that are higher than normal but not yet high
enough to be diagnosed as diabetes.
Although diabetes is a chronic disease
with no cure, the good news is that with proper care and
treatment you can live a long and healthy life.
